| Roger Montgomery ∙ Owner/Principal (Private Investigator)
Roger D. Montgomery is the principal of FRInvestigations, PLLC.
Roger has over twenty years of experience as a working professional private investigator in Seattle. After almost 17 years with the Boeing Company, Roger left the corporate world as an experienced investigator to start FRInvestigations, PLLC.
Roger has been involved with the investigative industry in some capacity most of his adult life. As a younger man Roger was instrumental in working with the Washington State Attorney General’s Office and the Pierce County Prosecutor’s office to put an end to a multistate fraud case that resulting in prison time for the perpetrator.
During the professional investigative career at Boeing, Roger worked with the U.S. Air Force, National Transportation Safety Board, U.S. Navy, U.S. Department of Defense and numerous private sector fortune 500 corporations in his duties as an investigative analyst.
Since 1999 F.R. Investigations has worked complex and highly volatile dissolution cases in the state. Our investigators specifically investigate domestic cases and have the winning percentages to make the high rent attorneys blush. The ability to obtain the evidence or truth has a monumental amount of power to persuade the opposing attorney to settle.
Continuously improving one’s knowledge base is the key to human development, particularly in the legal arena. As a legal investigator Roger commits countless hours reviewing case law and appellate court decisions pertaining to family law, private investigator laws, at the state and federal level. A private investigator needs to be aware of all laws, court rules, statutes, changes to the law as well as proposed changes to federal and state laws including, but not limited to Fair Credit Report Act (FCRA), Graham-Leach Bliley Act (GLBA), Federal Communications Act (FCA), Privacy Act of 1974 (FIOA)
Roger has served on the executive board of the Washington Association of Legal Investigators (WALI) as President in 2005 and 2006. During that time he served on the Washington State Government’s council working on legislative concerns for Washington state private investigators. The legislation that our committee developed has been drafted to a Senate bill and will be considered by the Washington State legislative body in Olympia.
As a senior member of the investigative community, Roger has been instrumental in the development of education for Private Investigators throughout the northwest and the west coast. The Washington Association (WALI) of Legal Investigators has sponsored and co-sponsored the best and most well attended investigative educational events of the past 5 years including, but not limited to:
Roger works continuously with northwest and national associations of professional investigators to improve the industry. One of his objectives was to convince the State of Washington Department of Licensing to list the private investigators who have been disciplined on the state DOL website. You may view the new site at: http://www.dol.wa.gov/about/disciplinary/disciplinarypi.html
Roger has been a guest speaker at the University of Washington private investigator certificate program.
The experiences of life including a trial divorce in 1997 have served to develop him as a well rounded professional investigator. Roger was able to remain a part of his son’s life after winning full custody.
Personally, Roger is happily married with no children at home and loving every minute of a truly blessed existence.
Alexis Montgomery ∙ Associate/Partner Private Investigator
Alexis Montgomery, a licensed private investigator in Seattle since 2000, brings a unique ability to FRI providing assistance in civil liability and personal injury cases, insurance claims and fraud, child custody and protection cases, missing persons cases, and premarital screening. She investigates individuals to prove or disprove infidelity.
The specialty she has developed is often associated with only criminal investigations. This is PROFILING. Alexis has perfected her own adaptation of this process to assist in civil investigations. This has greatly enhanced investigations in relation to locates, missing persons and high conflict custodial issues.
With her degree in Human Development [Bachelor of Science], as a parent and step-parent coupled with her developed knowledge base in the last 10 years as an investigator, Alexis is one of the best private investigators in Seattle, and in Washington State.
Alexis has been the featured speaker at many investigative seminars, including Genealogy based programs, and educational seminars for new investigators.
Often working in tandem with her partner, Roger Montgomery, in mobile surveillance and covert investigations, their pairing is quite daunting. Alexis also works with the investigators in their office to bring a very knowledgeable perspective to any of the investigations at FRI.
“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”
- Anne Frank
